All About Foley Foley, AL Real Estate Guide
Foley is definitely a city on the move and progress can be seen all over. Foley is in a central location between the beaches and the Eastern Shore. It’s home to South Baldwin Regional Medical Center as well as dozens of medical specialists and practitioners. The recent completion of the Baldwin Beach Express has helped alleviate some, though not all, of the notorious Hwy 59 traffic congestion through Foley during the summer.
Foley has historically been known as a premier shopping destination due to the presence of Tanger Outlets (website can be found here). Tanger Outlets has since grown in size while other new big box stores have come to town as well like: Academy Sports & Outdoors, Home Goods, and PetSmart. Aside from shopping, Foley is now home to OWA, an amusement park complete with thrill inducing rides, delicious restaurants and, of course, shopping. OWA should definitely be on the list for anyone visiting Foley or the beaches of Baldwin County; more information can be found here.
Golf enthusiasts can find refuge at Glenlakes Golf Club while those seeking some down home cooking will find culinary delight at the famous Lambert’s Cafe (website can be found here). Land is still relatively cheap in Foley and developers have stayed busy creating new neighborhoods and building hew houses. Home prices are lower in Foley than compared to the Eastern Shore, which has been attractive to snow birds coming down for the winter but still looking for a deal.
Due to it’s central location and variety of available activities, whether as a place to live or simply a place to visit, Foley will not disappoint!
